US state privacy law — California’s CCPA/CPRA and its counterparts elsewhere — gives you a right to opt out of the ‘sale’ or ‘sharing’ of your personal information for advertising. What follows is how that operates on rainyready.com.
What the Terms Mean Here
No money changes hands for your data. The relevant practice is this: where advertising runs, ad partners may receive cookie or device identifiers associated with your browser. Because ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are defined broadly in these statutes, that may qualify — so we offer the opt-out regardless. No prior relationship with Rainyready is needed — the right belongs to every visitor to rainyready.com.
What Follows
Expect generic advertising rather than none. The sharing stops immediately; the ad slots may remain. Access, content and functionality on rainyready.com are identical whether or not you have opted out.
How to Exercise This Right
To exercise the right: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser (honoured automatically, no message needed); or refuse advertising cookies via the consent banner where shown; or send an email to hello@rainyready.com with the subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. We will not ask you to create an account to do this.
The State Privacy Notice sets out every right these statutes provide, not just this one.
